˜Imperishable is my devotee"
Devout brothers and mothers; blessed offspring of the Lord!
Since the day of terrorist attack on United States Of America and subsequent
developments including attacks on Srinagar Assembly and Indian Parliament, the
geo-strategic scene of the world has undergone a radical transformation. So is
the perception of each one on risk and threat to oneself, family, country and
the humanity at large. There is fear in the air. There is war, bombing, blood
shed, scene of inhumanity all around. Man's continued existence is at stake and
so is his prospect of peaceful living.
Let us reflect for a moment and recapitulate our own experience. The macabre
scenario of today has not come too sudden. For a long time, we are witnesses to
an unusual move of human race. The move was devious, deleterious and delusive of
development. Man was getting carried by passion and away from Ideal.
Complex-devil was ruling the roost. The move was distinct by its emphasis of
appeasing the complexes and driving human instincts against natural forces.
The drift towards death and destruction was pointed out by Sri Sri Thakur Anukul
Chandra long back. He re-formulated and demonstrated for the present generation
the path of ˜being and becoming", of ˜existence and growth" and of ˜peace and
prosperity". During his live play on earth, he got humanity rid of many a
disaster and toll of human suffering. His heart was bleeding for every streak of
pain anywhere in human-sphere. He waged a war against human suffering. His
clarion call, ˜do never die, nor cause death; but resist death to death" was not
a pious wish; it was a crusade. He made appeal to each and every one to lead a
concentric, progressive and balanced life, a life that glorifies God and
promotes harmony.
In the terror stricken situation of today, we, the disciples of Sri Sri Thakur,
have a crucial role to play. The holy "name" and the daily offering of
istabhrity are the twin shields, which would protect us from any calamity,
whatsoever, at all time. It is therefore imperative that we, the disciples of
Sri Sri Thakur, wherever placed, need to be tuned with the ˜name" and be
immersed in state of devotion. Let us keep us aloof from the clutches of
communalism and uphold the eternal values of spiritualism. Let us remember Sri
Sri Thakur's basic dictum, i.e., ˜God is one, Dharma is one, Prophets are same,
Servers of the One". Let us be aware that devil is playing its nefarious game in
the name of religion, mixing it up with communalism, which can only be combated
by strict adherence to Sri Sri Thakur's ideology. Let us harness our inner
strength, strengthen integrity and brotherhood and help banish evil from our
beautiful planet.
While praying for the well being of all, may I appeal to my brothers and mothers
to keep Sri Sri Thakur vibrant in them and in the surrounding. Please be sincere
in observing the principles of ˜yajan, yaajan, Istabhrity, swastyayani and
sadaachaar". Bear Him in mind and conducts; cultivate His life and literature
and spread His message of "light and love". Let there be peace all around. Let
His voice ˜imperishable is my devotee" be reverberated in every heart.
